Would you like for your child to have to ask to use an app? If you’re using Apple’s Screen Time, use the App Limits function to keep the app turned off until you grant permission. There are two ways to do it.

1) In the App Limits setting in Screen Time, set the time allowed for all apps, or groups of apps like social media or gaming, to one minute. Make sure Block at End of Limit is toggled on.

2) On the first page of Screen Time that shows the usage report, tap on the report, then scroll down to the list of individual apps. Tap on the app that you want to limit. Scroll down and tap Add Limit. Make sure Block at End of Limit is toggled on.

Now, the app will not open without your permission. After entering your Screen Time passcode, you can allow app use for 15 minutes, an hour, or all day.

Try it!
